The latest issue of V Jump magazine reveals the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga by Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto will go on a three-month hiatus. This hiatus will begin with the release of chapter 80.
Going on Hiatus
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga chapter 80 will release in the late April 2023 issue of V Jump. Following chapter’s release, the manga will go on a three-month hiatus to prepare for the next major story arc. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga will continue in the October 2023 issue of V Jump, which will release on August 21. It’s worth noting that V Jump issues have a two month difference between its release date and actual version. In this case, the October issue launches in August (Thanks, Ryokutya2089 and WSJ_manga).
The first part of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime recently concluded this past March. Part two of the ongoing Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime is currently in production, and a new anime premieres in September 2023. Further details about the anime debuting in September were not revealed, however.
Upcoming Anime Games
Naruto and Boruto fans may also look forward to the release of Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2’s Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. The upcoming title celebrates 20 years of the Naruto series anime with 124 playable characters, a massive story mode, and an original story mode starring Boruto. Recently, Bandai Namco revealed Naruto Uzumaki (Baryon Mode) and Sasuke Uchiha (Supporting Kage) would be playable characters in the new game. Fans can expect more new details about Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections soon.
Bandai Namco is working on a brand-new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game as well. The new project is the first Budokai Tenkaichi game in nearly 16 years, and it will feature Dragon Ball Super characters like Super Saiyan Blue Goku. Platforms and a release date for the new game have not been revealed, but Bandai Namco promises to share more information soon.
Lastly, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections launches in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
