VIZ Media confirms “part 1” of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime ends on Sunday, March 26 with one final episode. The second part of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime is currently in production, and a new short series is on the way later this year.
According to the official website for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, part 1 of the anime will conclude on episode 293 after near six-year run. A new anime project is currently planned for September 2023 featuring four episodes to celebrate the Naruto 20th anniversary. Further details about this new anime project were not announced, but fans can expect original characters from the Naruto series to return (Thanks, Siliconera).
The story of Boruto is not over, however. part 2 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is currently in production. A premiere date for the anime’s continuation was not announced. The new four-episode series and the latest entry in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series will likely arrive before the anime continues.
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections celebrates 20 years of the Naruto anime with 124 playable characters and a comprehensive story mode encompassing all four mainline titles. Moreover, the upcoming Naruto game features new characters like Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki alongside a brand-new original story. Players may enjoy Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam later this year.
Anime fans may also look forward to the new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game currently in development by Bandai Namco. A release date was not confirmed by Bandai Namco, but fans can expect Dragon Ball Super characters and transformations in the new game. Bandai Namco reiterates the series’ rise in popularity due to faithful recreation of special moves and massive character rosters.
