Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 revealed characters Naruto Uzumaki (Baryon Mode) and Sasuke Uchiha (Supporting Kage) will be playable in Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. More new characters and the Boruto story mode were also teased for the upcoming title.
New Characters and Upcoming Reveals
Naruto Uzumaki (Baryon Mode) and Sasuke Uchiha (Supporting Kage) were recently featured as playable characters in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. These two characters will be playable alongside a slew of new characters in Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. Bandai Namco shared new gameplay footage and encourages fans to stay tuned for more character reveals in the near future.
Alongside the new footage, Bandai Namco shared two new screenshots of the original “Special Story Mode” featuring Boruto Uzumaki. As the main character, Boruto faces against someone wielding a kunai and a red Susanoo figure. The Susanoo ability is normally exclusive to Uchiha clan members that have unlocked the Mangekyo Sharingan.
As previously discussed, the new Ultimate Ninja Storm game celebrates two decades of the Naruto anime with 124 playable characters and a massive story mode encompassing all four mainline titles. Players may also expect new content including the aforementioned original story starring Boruto.

Anime game fans may also look forward to a brand-new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, which is currently in development at Bandai Namco. The rumored codename for the project is Dragon Ball: SPARKING! ZERO!. Players may recognize the title since SPARKING! is the name of the Budokai Tenkaichi series in Japan. Platforms and a release date for the new game have not been revealed, but Bandai Namco promises to share more information soon.
Lastly, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections launches in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
