Nihon Falcom updated its official website for Ys X: Nordics with characters profiles for Adol Christin and Carja Balta, the two main characters for the upcoming action RPG. Ys X: Nordics is Adol’s third adventure according to his adventure logs.
The Red-Haired Adventurer, Adol Christin
Once more, Adol Christin is the lead protagonist for the Ys franchise in Ys X: Nordics. His vibrant red hair and eyes full of intrigue have earned him his fair share of nicknames. He’s 17 years old during the story of Ys X: Nordics, which takes place after Ys II and before Ys: Memories of Celceta. On his way out of Esteria and into Celceta, he ventures into Odelia Bay alongside his companion Dogi, a former bandit.
The Pirate Princess, Carja Balta
Carja Balta is the only daughter of Grimson, the leader of the Balta Navy in Odelia Bay. Although she has an elegant face, Carja’s brutal Norman fighting style with her hatchet and shield makes her a feared individual in Karnak. As a result, she’s been given the nickname of Pirate Princess. Despite her notoriety, Carja is the same age as Adol in Ys X: Nordics, and she’s the game’s heroine (Thanks, Noisy Pixel).
Ys fans may also look forward to Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana for Nintendo Switch with several quality of life improvements and enhancements. Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana launches first on April 27 in Japan followed by the Chinese and Korean release on May 25.
Lastly, Ys X: Nordics launches later this year for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
