    Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Free Update Launches March 23, Piccolo (Power Awakening) Revealed

    Unleash the beast or awaken latent power.

    Bandai Namco and Dimps announced a major free update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launches on March 23 featuring a new Beast Awoken Skill based off of Beast Gohan from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Additionally, the Hero of Justice Pack 2 adds Piccolo (Power Awakening) from the film. 

    On March 23, the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 free update adds Awoken Skill: Beast, three raid quests including Cell Max, two costumes and accessories, five Super Souls, seven CC mascots, and 51 loading screen illustrations. Players will be able to unleash Beast powers in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 while waiting for the arrival of Beast Gohan from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The new DLC character is expected to arrive soon with Hero of Justice Pack 2.

    Alongside the content reveal for the new free update, Bandai Namco revealed Piccolo (Power Awakening) will be the second DLC character featured in Hero of Justice Pack 2 for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. He will join the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 roster alongside Orange Piccolo and an unannounced character. The silhouette for the unannounced character appears to tease Beast Gohan, and a release date for the DLC pack has not been revealed.

    Dragon Ball fans may also look forward to a brand-new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game, which is currently in development at Bandai Namco. The rumored codename for the project is Dragon Ball: SPARKING! ZERO!. Platforms and a release date for the new game have not been revealed, but Bandai Namco promises to share more information soon. 

    Lastly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
