    AI: The Somnium Files series creator Kotaro Uchikoshi and director Akira Okada are excited for an upcoming third entry. The developers discussed a potential Kaname Date and Hitomi Sagan story and their excitement over what’s next for the series.

    In an interview with Dengeki Online, Uchikoshi and Okada discussed overseas interest regarding Hitomi and Date’s relationship in the AI: The Somnium Files series. If the opportunity presents itself, fans may finally learn more about the pair’s relationship in a future game.

    Further into the interview, Dengeki Online asks if fans can have high expectations regarding a third AI: The Somnium Files game. Okada is personally excited to develop a third game because of the support and motivation gained by fans in Japan and the west. Uchikoshi is excited as well and thinks fans will encounter Kagami once again.

    Uchikoshi: Hmm…there are many people, especially those overseas, who are interested in knowing more about the relationship between Hitomi and Date. If the opportunity presents itself…

    Dengeki Online: Can we have high expectations for the third game now?

    Okada: Personally, I’m very excited to develop a third game. The number of [Ai the Somnium Files fans] has been steadily increasing both overseas and in Japan. It’s this support that allows us to stay motivated and continue to bring new titles. I hope to meet everyone’s expectations.

    Dengeki Online: What about you, Uchikoshi-san?

    Uchikoshi: I concur with Akira. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who played AI! If you continue to support us, then maybe you’ll meet Kagami once again!
