The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Has Been Rated by The ESRB

The sequel to Breath of the Wild is officially rated.

On Nintendo’s official website for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it appears that the sequel to Breath of the Wild has already been rated by the ESRB. It cites Fantasy Violence and Mild Suggestive Themes for the rating. The rating is E10+, which is the same rating that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received almost six years ago.

You can take a look at the rating below:

Here is an overview of the game from the official website:

In addition to the vast lands of Hyrule, the latest entry in the storied Legend of Zelda series will take you up into the skies! Look forward to Link’s massive adventure starting again when The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, drops for Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.

More information surrounding the title should be coming in early 2023 since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was rated already. A trailer should be expected in a potential Nintendo Direct presentation within the first few months of the year. With TOTK’s absence from The Game Awards, it makes sense to hold it for a presentation of that caliber.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch family of systems on May 12, 2023.
