The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Post-Game has a few new things to try out. However, the Post-Game isn’t particularly stacked. There’s fun to be had for sure, but there’s only a handful of new things to experience besides just cleanup.
What There’s Not…
There is no facility like the Battle Tower, or anything similar. You do have some options to rebattle opponents you faced in the story, but don’t go into the current Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Post-Game expecting a new grandiose story epilogue or dozens of hours of challenging battles.
You may have not finished exploring every nook and cranny in Paldea. There could still be trainers to battle, items to find, and sights to see! After the story you can even explore more of Area Zero, so be sure to check it out!
Did you catch all 400 Pokémon? Probably not. If you’re interested in doing that then there’s still many hours of capturing, training, and trading left for you! There’s also some Legendary Pokémon you may have missed!
Academy Ace Tournament
After finishing all of the main stories, you can rebattle the Gym Leaders. Defeating all of them again lets you participate in this tournament. It lets you rebattle some familiar faces and face off against people you haven’t had the chance to battle before! You don’t get to pick who you battle, it is random. The average level of you opponents is lvl. 65. So, many of them are way stronger than they were when you last faced them!
Team Star Training Center
This is similar to the Academy Ace Tournament, except it has a focus on rebattling Team Star Members. You can revist their old bases and have a rematch once per day. They’re stronger than when you last faced them, and you don’t have to worry about battling their Revaroom Star Mobiles this time.
Tera Raid Battles
You could do these battles during the main story, but now you have access to way more moves and Pokémon. They can be a good time with some friends too. After finishing the Academy Ace Tournament there are now Black Tera crystals. These stronger raids have unique Pokémon and drop much rarer items. Not to mention, Scarlet and Violet will be getting post launch support with raid events going on, much like Sword and Shield did.
