Telenet Shooting Collection Revealed for Switch

Classic shoot 'em ups resurface for a Switch release.

Edia announced Telenet Shooting Collection, a collection of classic shoot ’em ups originally developed by the defunct Telenet Japan studio. The collection releases after June 2023 in Japan for Nintendo Switch.

Telenet Shooting Collection includes four titles:

  • Granada (November 1990, SEGA Genesis)
  • Avenger (1990, PC Engine)
  • Gaiares (1990, SEGA Genesis)
  • Psychic Storm (1992, PC Engine)

Edia launched a Makuake crowdfunding campaign to fund Telenet Shooting Collection’s development and marketing. The developer is looking to fund three million yen, which is roughly $21,160. The crowdfunding campaign ends on December 26, 2022.

According to Edia, multiple projects are planned for the “Telenet Japan Revival Project” initiative. Fans can expect more announcements in the near future through Edia’s official channels.
