US NPD results for October 2022 reveal the PlayStation 5 was the best-selling console of the month in dollar and unit sales.
PlayStation 5 leads in sales for the third consecutive month. Xbox Series X|S ranked in second place for both dollar and unit sales according to NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella. Nintendo Switch was third in total dollar sales and unit sales.
Spending in video game accessories was down by 8% when compared to October 2021, but PlayStation led the charge once more in this category. The PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller (Midnight Black) was the best-selling accessory of October 2022 in dollar sales.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) was the best-selling game of October 2022 and the best-selling game of the month for PlayStation platforms.
