US NPD results for September 2022 reveal the PlayStation 5 was the best selling console of the month in dollar and unit sales.
Increased supply of the PlayStation 5 ensured the console ranked the most in dollar sales and unit sales in September 2022 according to Mat Piscatella. The Nintendo Switch ranked second in unit sales behind the PS5 while the Xbox Series X|S ranked second in dollar sales.
The best selling game on PlayStation platforms was FIFA 23, a new release within September 2022. Splatoon 3 was the best selling Nintendo game for the month. Madden NFL 23 was the best selling game for Xbox platforms last month.
