500,000 copies sold during the current fiscal year.

Sega Sammy released its second quarter results for fiscal year ending in March 2023, revealing more sales data for the Persona franchise.

The Persona franchise sold roughly 230,000 copies worldwide within the second quarter, which spans from June 2022 to August 2022. A total of 500,000 copies were sold during the current fiscal year, and approximately 270,000 copies were sold in the first quarter. These sales include physical shipments and digital copies.

Games factored into the sales data were not disclosed. However, its safe to assume recent titles such as Persona 4 Golden for Steam, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona 5 Royal (PlayStation 4), and Persona 5 Strikers were main contributors.

Sega Sammy’s third quarter results will include sales for the multiplatform release of Persona 5 Royal. The new release was developed internally at SEGA with enhancements for multiple platforms.

Persona 5 Royal released on October 21 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
