Yakuza / Like a Dragon series sells 490,000 copies from June to August 2022

Nearly one million in total sold in half of the fiscal year.

Sega Sammy released its second quarter results for fiscal year ending in March 2022, revealing nearly 500,000 copies were sold for the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series.

The Yakuza / Like a Dragon series sold roughly 490,000 copies from June to August 2022. Sales figures include physical shipments and digital copies sold worldwide. Additionally, Judgment series games were included in the total. A combined total of 960,000 copies were sold in the first and second quarters.

No new Yakuza / Like a Dragon titles were released within the second quarter. Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Lost Judgment were likely main contributors for the latest sales data from Sega Sammy. Going forward, the Yakuza series will be known as Like a Dragon in Japan and overseas.

Multiple new games are in development at the studio including Like a Dragon 8 and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The next major Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio release, Like a Dragon Ishin, launches February 21, 2023 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
