    The second major DLC.

Bandai Namco announced the second major DLC for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, Blooming of Matricaria, releases on July 26 in Japan.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Blooming of Matricaria DLC features a continuation of the game’s story and the introduction of a new character, Log. Additionally, a new weapon type is available with the DLC, the Shield & Axe.

Here’s a story synopsis of the Blooming of Matricaria DLC, via Bandai Namco:

To protect this virtual world, to prevent the coming future of collapse, humanity has been accumulating its strength.
Kirito’s sword has brought everyone together, and their bond became a power to fight against any kind of obstacle they would face.
With Cardinal’s leadership, the countermeasure meeting for the “Final Stress Test” has begun.
However, the bell of destruction rings unreasonably.
“Hear me, for I shall activate the divine object of mass destruction, the Refactoring Golem!”
The battle that shook humanity, the Hundred Days War, had begun.
100 days until the end of humanity.
