Level-5 announced Megaton Musashi is going free-to-play this fall as Megaton Musashi X for PS4 and Switch in Japan.
Megaton Musashi X features all 6 major updates released since the launch of Megaton Musashi in Japan. Additionally, the free-to-play title includes brand new content such as Season 2, PvP online battles, and new mecha, story, weapons, characters, and stages.
Megaton Musashi X supports save data transfers from Megaton Musashi. Players who decide to transfer save data may purchase an exclusive mecha (Protoframe Zero X) and item set for 100 yen. The item set will be sold separately to all players at a later date.
Collaborations with Getter Robo and Mazinger Z are coming to the free-to-play title this fall. Each mecha is equipped with a set of actions and special attacks. More details will be announced at a later date.
