    Bandai Namco trademarks G Generation Eternal in Japan

    *Update* Bandai Namco trademarked G Generation Eternal in English and Japanese as of April 26th. The trademark was made public today, May 10th (JST).

    *Original Article 5/1* Bandai Namco filed a new trademark for G Generation Eternal in Japan! The trademark was filed on April 21st and likely refers to a new Gundam game. On May 2nd (JST), the trademark was made public. Like most gaming trademarks, platforms for G Generation Eternal were not specified.

    G Generation Eternal could be a successor to SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays, which released for PS4, Switch and PC via Steam on November 28th, 2019. A sequel could see major graphical and content improvements with a potential PS5 version. In 2021, Bandai Namco upgraded Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 with a PS5 version and a PC (Steam) version is coming soon.

    Bandai Namco is also planning to release Gundam Evolution, a new PVP shooter, in 2022. Gundam Evolution is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. 2022 looks to be a very busy year for the Gundam franchise as fans may also look forward to the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime this October.
