It looks like the Switch could be leveraging some of AMD’s latest technology with FSR (Thanks, NWPlayer123)! FidelityFX Super Resolution is an upscaling technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS. Nvidia’s RTX GPUs natively support DLSS, powered by the GPU’s Tensor Cores. The Switch does not support DLSS, but FidelityFX Super Resolution works on most modern day GPUs. This includes the Switch’s Tegra X1 chip and other lower end Nvidia hardware. AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution is listed for use in Nintendo Switch Sports according to the game’s licensing pages. Nintendo Switch Sports is the only title to use AMD’s FSR for now, but it could prove beneficial in boosting performance in future games to come.
