With Fantasian finishing up development this year, Mistwalker’s Hironobu Sakaguchi looks forward to vacation time in 2022. In 4Gamer’s year-end series of interviews, Sakaguchi mentions writer Yasumi Matsuno. Matsuno worked on various RPGs such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIV and most recently, Unsung Story. Sakaguchi says that Matsuno is writing on a new scenario and looks forward to what kind of work it could be. It’s been a few years since Unsung Story released so it looks like Matsuno might be working on a new game. With 2022 on the horizon, fans of Matsuno’s work might have something to look forward to soon.
