Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl surpasses 1.39 million retail copies sold within first 3 days of release in Japan

Famitsu shared sales numbers for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and it’s already off to an insane start. The games sold 1.396 million retail copies within the first 3 days of release in Japan. This includes physical copies, Double Packs and game download cards sold at retail between November 19th and November 21st. In addition, the Switch surpassed 22 million units sold in Japan thanks to releases like Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. This is one of the biggest Switch game launches in Japan alongside Animal Crossing: New Horizons within a first-week period.
