ID Software announced that DOOM Eternal is getting a new single-player Horde mode in a free update! The previously announced Invasion mode was cancelled due to the pandemic affecting development. The development team took feedback from players and instead wants to focus on a single-player Horde mode for all fans to enjoy. More details about Horde mode and future updates are coming at QuakeCon 2021 in August. Check out the official statement released by producer Marty Stratton:
