In a recent interview by Famitsu, Acquire President Takuma Endo talks about a Tenchu revival and new indie brand. Endo wants to create a new Tenchu game for PS5 although it’s rather difficult at the moment. The “Stealth Assassins” trademark renewal is the groundwork for now. Acquire wants to create a new indie brand this year which operates separately from the main brand. By doing so, that team can focus on creating new games in a short time. The company wants to release the first indie game from this new brand by the end of 2021.
