Adult Swim and Crunchyroll have delivered a bombshell announcement for SEGA and Shenmue fans today. The companies have announced that an official Shenmue anime is currently in production with Yu Suzuki as Executive Producer! This anime will be a 13 episode series by Telecom Animation (Lupin The Third: Part 5) and directed by Chikara Sakurai (One Punch Man: Season 2). These episodes will air on Toonami in the US and Crunchyroll as well. More details will be announced at a later date.
