Usually, trademark filings are made to maintain IP ownership for years of active use, so this does not exactly mean that an announcement is impending. However, its worth noting that Anime Expo Lite 2020 features The World Ends With You with new special collaboration artwork. This might mean that Square Enix has some plans for the franchise, but please take that with a grain of salt.
