Rumor: Paper Mario is “returning to franchises’ roots” on Switch, more in line with the original game and The Thousand Year Door

This rumor is an extension of today’s Super Mario rumors and goes into the possibility of Paper Mario returning for Switch. Jeff Grubb from VentureBeat, who accurately predicted the date for the recent Nintendo Direct Mini, states that the Paper Mario for Switch represents a return to the franchises’ roots. Here is Grubb’s official excerpt, courtesy of VentureBeat:

The Paper Mario game, meanwhile, represents a return to that franchise’s roots. This means something closer to the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube games, which are beloved. And leaving behind the baggage of the more forgettable entries on 3DS and Wii U.

Its important to note again that this is just a rumor, so please take this with a grain of salt. Lastly, stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news!
