Compile Heart and Idea Factory have announced the next title in the Neptunia series, VVVtunia! This game commemorates the 10th anniversary of the series. VVVtunia is a spin-off where four goddesses team up with virtual idol Mewtral to save “Virtual Land,” a digital world. Here’s a short overview of the story:
Planet EMO is faced with the threat of destruction by the content-destroying “Anti.” The goddess Fair, who protects the planet, pins her hopes on saviors from another dimension. Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert, as well as Mii and Yuu. The girls summoned to an unknown world must save Planet EMO.
VVVtunia incorporates some new features that differ from previous Neptunia games:
- BeatTik is a system in the game where characters dance to the beat
- Costumes and accessories may be customized
- Douga Butler allows videos to be scanned and turned into items
- Guns and cameras make up equipment in the game
- An enhanced Photo mode allows for video now
