Romancing SaGa 3 releases on November 11th in the west

Square Enix has announced that Romancing SaGa 3 will release on November 11th in the west. It will be available on PS4, PS Vita, Switch, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android. Here’s an overview and the latest trailer:

Romancing SaGa 3 gives players the freedom to forge their own path, choosing to play through eight different narratives led by eight protagonists, each with their own motives and unique personalities. Developed by industry veterans, including renowned developer Akitoshi Kawazu (FINAL FANTASY®, Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier), this HD remaster will feature optimized graphics, a new dungeon called the “Phantom Maze” to explore and a NEW GAME+ function. The upcoming remaster adds new storylines to the game, making it the perfect time for both new and veteran players to experience the SaGa series.

Yakuza 7 new details: includes gacha character summons, kart racing, PachiSlot and movie theaters!

Weekly Famitsu has revealed some brand new Yakuza 7 details! Fans of mini-games from previous Yakuza games will have a lot more to play through. In battle, Ichiban can summon characters via his smartphone. Its a nod to current gacha style mobile games. Returning characters such as Gondawara and Gary Buster Holmes make their appearance as summons. Various new mini-games and activities have been added which are new to the series.

First up is Dragon Kart. Dragon Kart is a wild kart racing activity set in Yokohama, allowing Ichiban to use weapons such as a Gatling gun and rocket launcher. Ichiban can also watch movies in Yakuza 7. Visiting a movie theater and starting a movie will begin a rhythm based mini-game against a sheep man. An PachiSlot simulator is in the game as well.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses update v. 1.0.2 changes English VA for male Byleth

Male Byleth’s previous English voice actor Chris Niosi had been at the center of controversy mere moments following the release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Nintendo acted swiftly, cutting ties with Niosi and changing the voice actor for male Byleth. With update v. 1.0.2, male Byleth’s English voice actor is now Zach Aguilar. Aguilar is also the English voice actor for male Byleth in Fire Emblem Heroes mobile game.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion Pass wave 2 DLC and Maddening Mode update are available now

Expansion Pass wave 2 DLC for Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available now! Nintendo has just announced this alongside a free update including Maddening Mode. Wave 2 DLC includes new attire, items, and axuillary battles. Here are some images provided by Nintendo:

Maddening Mode serves as a greater challenge in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Completing a play-through in this mode without carrying over save data will change the title screen.

Star Ocean First Departure R for PS4 and Switch releases on December 5th

Square Enix has announced the official western release date for Star Ocean First Departure R! The game arrives on December 5th for PS4 and Switch. Along with the announcement, Square Enix uploaded a new trailer. Here’s an overview and latest trailer:

STAR OCEAN is a role-playing game that has garnered attention for merging sci-fi and fantasy in its story. It was originally released for the Super Famicom in 1996, followed by “STAR OCEAN -First Departure-“, a remake for PlayStation Portable in 2007.

The commemorative first title in the STAR OCEAN series comes to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in HD graphics with new additional features.

Star Ocean First Departure R is available to preorder for PlayStation 4. Preorders will not be available for the Switch version. The game includes full English text with voice overs in English and Japanese.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 are being removed from EU and Japanese Wii U eShops on September 19th

Wii U ports have been making their way onto Switch in recent years. Niche Wii U titles like Tokyo Mirage Sessions # FE and Bayonetta have been announced for the Switch as well. Although the Switch is shining bright for Nintendo, the Wii U was not so fortunate. Nintendo of Europe and Japan sent notices that Bayonetta 1 and 2 are being removed from the Wii U eShop on September 19th. However, digital purchases of Bayonetta 1 and 2 before the deadline will remain in the download history after the de-listing.

As of now, Bayonetta 1 and 2 will remain on the NA Wii U eShop but that could change. Bayonetta 1 and 2 are currently available on Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for more news regarding Nintendo Switch titles!

Apple Arcade gets brand new info, launching September 19th

At Apple’s annual September keynote event earlier today, the tech giant has revealed details about their upcoming game subscription service, Apple Arcade.

Launching next week on September 19, Apple Arcade will have over 100 games available for download on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TV’s in over 120 countries world wide. For just $4.99 a month, this is a steal.

Big name developers such as Konami, Capcom, Annapurna Interactive and more will all have exclusive titles launching on the game subscription service. Konami revealed “Frogger in Toy Land” bringing back the classic original platformer in a fun new way. Capcom gave us a look at their new underwater adventure “Shinsekai: Into the Depths”. And Annapurna Interactive revealed their exclusive rhythm based runner, “Sayonara Wildhearts”.

These and hundreds more will be available next week when Apple Arcade launches on September 19th for just $4.99 for a family subscription. A free 1 month trial will also be available for those that want to give it a test run first.

Guilty Gear TGS 2019 stage event will reveal new information on September 13th

Arc System Works has announced that Daisuke Ishiwatari and director Akira Katano will be on stage at TGS 2019! During TGS 2019, they will reveal new information about the game during a “New Guilty Gear” stage on September 13th. The stage will be held at the SEGA/Atlus booth this coming Friday. Along with this, Arc System Works announced that the EVO 2019 Guilty Gear trailer has been replayed over a million times. Fans are excited for this one! Enzai Shikkou Yuugi: Yuru Kill announced for PS4, PC, written by Kakegurui author Homura Kawamoto

Izanagi Games and G.rev have announced Enzai Shikkou Yuugi: Yuru Kill, an escape adventure/shoot em up game for PS4 and PC. Kakegurui author Homura Kawamoto is the Creator and Scenario Writer of this game. Here’s a short rundown of what we know, courtesy of Gematsu:

Physical release of Dragon Quest I, II and III for Switch now available for preorder at Play-Asia

During last week’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I, II and III will release for Switch in Japan on September 27th. An English release for Asia was later confirmed. Play-Asia has announced that preorders for a physical copy of all 3 games are now available! All 3 games will be on one cartridge and support English, Chinese and Korean languages.
