Aksys Games has announced a collectors edition of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] for PS4 and Switch! The collector’s edition includes a 96 page artbook, soundtrack CD with themes of each character and a key-chain. Here’s an overview of the latest game in the Under Night In-Birth series:

The latest installment in the popular 2D anime fighting game Under Night In-Birth, will have you grabbing your fight sticks because this game is about to change it all up with numerous additions and enhancements. Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] will also feature a new character, Londrekia, and his frosty new set of moves!

In Under Night In-Birth, a mysterious phenomenon, known only as “the Hollow Night,” has enveloped regions of Japan in darkness for several centuries. Every area affected by the Hollow Night is beset by shadowy monsters–known as “Voids”–who feed off of a power called “Existence.” Most humans don’t possess the ability to see or come in contact with Voids, and therefore remain safe. You, however, are not so lucky. As one of a cast of unique characters, players fight their way through the dangers of the Hollow Night and defeat those who would try to get in your way. The game features classic 2D anime fighter controls with a splash of devastating combos and unique fighting styles sure to keep your appetite for battle sated. Yuji Horii shares a special thank you message for Switch owners playing Dragon Quest I, II, and III

Famed game designer and creator of Dragon Quest, Yuji Horii, has shared a special message to Switch owners playing Dragon Quest I, II, and III. He’s thankful for the 30th year anniversary of the series as well as new players experiencing the Erdrick trilogy for the first time. These games are all on the go in both Japan and the west. The original Famicom release of Dragon Quest dates back all the way to 1986. Here’s the special message from Yuji Horii:

Inazuma Eleven Ares is now named Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes, releases in Spring 2020 in Japan

Level-5 released a blog-post today revealing information about Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes. The game was previously named Inazuma Eleven Ares and has now been changed. Level-5 apologizes for their miscalculations during development, moving development from outsourced to fully in-house. The game will also incorporate new features such as eSports development and enhanced hack-and-slash elements for battles. Level-5 hopes to build a rich online system where tournaments can be held.

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes releases for PS4, Switch and smartphones in Spring 2020 for Japan. Currently, a western release date is unknown. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest in Japanese gaming news!

You’ll soon be able to mount your creatures in upcoming Conan Exiles update

Developer Funcom has announced that Conan Exiles is getting one of the longest-requested features. Soon, you’ll be able to mount various creatures and wreck havoc on your foes.

“A free update will see all exiles able to capture and train their own mounts, as well as a new pet leveling system and mounted combat. This means players will finally be able to charge into battle, wielding their sword high, driving their enemies before them!”

While the mount system will be free to everyone in December, a new cosmetic pack called Riders of Hyboria, will be released simultaneously for $10 and will be a part of the Year 2 Season Pass. This will offer a wider range of mounts and armor.

Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian! Survive in a hostile world, build your kingdom, and dominate your enemies in both single and multiplayer!

Rabbit girl 2D platformer Rabi-Ribi releases for Switch on October 17th

Circle Entertainment has announced that Rabi-Ribi is heading to Nintendo Switch on October 17th! This 2D platformer revolves around a rabbit turned into a human girl with rabbit ears. Here’s an overview along with the latest trailer:

Rabi-Ribi is coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on 17th October, and you can pre-purchase now! This 2D sidescrolling exploration platformer follows the adventure of Erina, whose humdrum life as a regular rabbit is turned upside-down when she finds herself in an unknown world and turned into a human (with rabbit ears)! Along the way she meets the cheerful pink-haired fairy, Ribbon, who mysteriously chooses to stay by Erina’s side. Erina may be a little rabbit that was turned into a human, but that doesn’t stop her from being capable of some pretty neat moves. Both Erina and Ribbon’s abilities can be improved by learning new skills and attacks through collecting items and upgrades that are spread throughout the world.

Dragon Quest XI S was a promise made by the developers to Satoru Iwata

Some heartfelt news came out of the Dragon Quest XI S countdown live stream earlier today. In the stream, developers on the game had a chance to talk about Satoru Iwata. Dragon Quest XI S’s development started long before the Switch released. Satoru Iwata was the one who approached Square Enix and the Dragon Quest developers to bring the game to Nintendo’s new hardware. The promise was finally delivered by the developers as mentioned in the stream. Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai was present for the countdown stream as well, a long time friend of Satoru Iwata.

Naughty Dog and Sony earlier this week confirmed that The Last of Us Part II will be a single-player experience. Multiplayer from the previous game will not return. Naughty Dog games like Uncharted and The Last of Us had unique multiplayer modes that were beloved by fans. However, Naughty Dog focuses on delivering a single-player only experience.
