Mystery adventure game Root Film announced for PS4 and Switch

Kadokawa Games have announced the next game in their mystery adventure series! Root Film is the sequel to Root Letter and releases in spring 2020 in Japan. Root Film focuses on two characters, Riho and Rintarou Yagumo. The story centers around the film industry and idol world. Root Film’s mystery amd twists begins with an unexpected murder.

LoveR Kiss announced for PS4 and Switch, releases this winter in Japan

Kadokawa Games has announced LoveR Kiss for PS4 and Switch! LoveR Kiss is an upgraded version of the PS4 title LoveR. It includes a teacher scenario with Himari Saiki which was not in the original release.

The Switch version features motion controls via tilting the hardware in Photo Sessions. Similarly, the PS4 version includes motion controls via tilting the Dualshock 4 controller. Lastly, here’s the latest trailer:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Has Officially Gone Gold

Respawn Entertainment announced that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has gone gold.  The company broke the news today on its official Twitter account.
 
Fallen Order is one of the most anticipated games of the year, teased at E3 2018.  The game was fully shown off in full during EA Play in June.  Fallen Order will try to break the trend of the more recent Star Wars game from Electronic Arts. In which received mixed reactions. Fallen Order has seen positive responses by the industry and consumers alike.  And it was one of the most talked-about games at E3 2019.
 
Respawn hopes Fallen Order will try to build off the momentum of the popular Apex Legends. The free-to-play, first-person shooter, Battle Royale game, Respawn released in February.  This will be the company’s first non-shooter and action game.  Before Apex Legends, Respawn before developed first-person shooters Titanfall and Titanfall 2.
 
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release on November 15th for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC via EA Origin. 

Persona 5 Scramble news arrives on October 24th at 12 PM JST

Atlus has reconfirmed that Persona 5 Scramble news is arriving next week on October 24th! This time, they have given us an exact time on when to expect news. News for Persona 5 Scramble will arrive at 12 PM JST (11 PM EST on the 23rd) on the 24th.

The official website was updated to show in-game locations from the latest teaser trailer including Sapporo and Osaka.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva MegaMix – How to Play trailer, 91 returning songs

SEGA has released a new trailer for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva MegaMix! The trailer showcases two ways to play the game, Arcade mode and Mix mode. Arcade mode plays just like other Hatsune Miku games so fans will be right at home with this mode. Mix mode is new to the series, allowing players to use Joy-Cons and motion controls.

Nintendo Switch surpasses 15 million units sold in North America, top selling console for 10 months in a row

Businesswire released information today regarding Nintendo Switch sales in North America! The console has reached over 15 million units sold in the region. The console is the top seller for 10 months straight, which is the entirety of 2019 up to this point. Nintendo expects these sales to grow even further with major releases like Pokemon Sword/Shield and Luigi’s Mansion 3 coming soon.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition Released for PS4 and PC

Marvelous Entertainment and XSEED Games officially released Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition for Playstation 4 and PC via Steam today.  Both companies announced in a press release.

The Complete Edition of this Suda51 developed title is a port of the original Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes that released on the Nintendo Switch all the way back in January.  You can buy the Complete Edition right now for $39.99 on Playstation 4.  However, you can get the Steam version right now at a 10% discount ($35.99).

While Travis Strikes Again takes place seven years after the events of No More Heroes 2; it is not a direct sequel to No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.  Instead, it is a spin-off title, played from a top-down perspective with gameplay inspired by many indie games.

A direct sequel, simply titled No More Heroes III, was announced earlier this year at E3 2019.  And will release sometime in 2020 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Sword/Shield lets players encounter vastly overleveled Pokemon and skip the catching tutorial

Gamespot and Eurogamer recently tried out a Pokemon Sword/Shield demo for early impressions. Some interesting tidbits of information came out of both outlets, which might please some long time Pokemon fans. Sword/Shield will allow you to encounter vastly over-leveled Pokemon in the wild. A similar feature is found in Xenoblade games, where the player may encounter enemies 10x the level of the current player. In addition, players may finally skip the catching tutorial. This is the first time since Pokemon Crystal in 2000 where players can skip that tutorial.
