Xbox Series X will not have console exclusive games in the first year or two, cross-gen games will release for the platform

We are officially in the new generation of console year and while everyone is gearing up for a huge year, a lot of gamers are anxiously digging for more information on their favorite box every day to see if anything new has come out of the horizon. In a recent interview with mcvuk.com, head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty has come out with some new information about the next generation of Xbox.

According to Matt Booty, all of Xbox’s content for the next couple of years will play up and down that family of devices.

“We want to make sure that if someone invests in xbox between now and Series X, that they feel that they made a good investment and that we’re committed to them with content”

The strategy will likely relieve pressure from Microsoft on third-party publishers to turn out hardware-exclusive titles for the day one.

This, however, doesn’t take away the fact that Xbox wants to fully show off the power of the new Xbox Series X.  Games like Halo Infinite will be focused on to make sure that they’re taking full advantage of all the features that the new console will present us with.

It’s the first time in over 15 years that we’ll have a halo title launching in sync with a new console.  and that team is definitely going to be doing things to take advantage of Series x’

So will there be exclusives early on in the Xbox Series X’s life?  The short answer is yes.  Microsoft isn’t just going to all of sudden stop all support for the Xbox One.  We will be seeing games launch on the Xbox One along with the new Xbox Series X.  Games on the Xbox Series X however will be more enhanced and will use all the power the Xbox Series X has to offer.
