Nintendo Japan Lets Switch Online Users Play Fire Emblem Warriors For Free For One Week!

Nintendo Japan has announced that they are letting Nintendo Switch Online members play Fire Emblem Warriors for free for one whole week! From January 20th to the 26th, Japanese users can play through the game in its entirety. The save data can also be transferred over to the main game if you buy the full game afterwards!

This isn’t the first time Nintendo Japan has done this. Last year they offered a demo of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to users that were subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online. It seems that they are trying to add more value to the service!

Even better news is that Fire Emblem Warriors and it’s DLC will be on sale soon for 40% off! The sale even starts on the 20th of January. If you haven’t picked the game up, this is the perfect time to try it out and nab it!

Astral Chain Spirits Coming To Super Smash Brothers. Ultimate

Today Nintendo Versus tweeted that Astral Chain is coming to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate in the form of a Spirit Board Event! Kyle, Lappy and the Neuron twins are all coming to the game this Friday!

While Spirits don’t necessarily deconfirm a characters chances, I can only believe that these Spirit Events do. Sadly this probably means that Akira Howard won’t be the 5th character in the Fighters Pass. This could also be the case for whatever comes after the Fighters Pass.

Hopefully we learn more on the future of the Fighter Pass soon, as fans are getting very antsy for a new Nintendo Direct!

Sony will be Skipping E3 for the Second Consecutive Year

Sony has confirmed the rumors.  They will skip E3 for the second consecutive year. They will not be attending E3 2020 in June.

In a statement via Gamesindustry.biz, a spokesperson for Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the news.

“After thorough evaluation, SIE has decided not to participate in E3 2020,” a spokesperson from Sony Interactive Entertainment said. “We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year.

Furthermore, they stated that the company will attend smaller events. And hinted that the company would hold its own events for this year.

“We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe. Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favorite content. We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PlayStation 4, and with the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans.”

This news marks another huge blow to the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). And even E3 as a whole.  Sony backed out of E3 last year. But with the upcoming PlayStation 5 slated to release, the consequences this time around for E3 are bigger compared to last year.
