Spike Chunsoft has released a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account acknowledging issues in the Xbox Series X|S and Steam releases of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT, including issues launching the game and the STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space.
Spike Chunsoft assures players that the company is aware of an issue preventing the game launching on Xbox Series X|S when connected to a network. Additionally, the STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space DLC is not being placed in the correct installation folder, preventing players from starting it.
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT owners can now install STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space, which is a pre-order bonus and early purchase bonus through November 30. Gamers who want the bonus game are encouraged to buy the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition before that deadline.
The STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Digital Deluxe Edition is available featuring the game, a digital visual book, the digital soundtrack, STEINS;GATE Octet of Shifting Space, and footage from the “STEINS;GATE 15th LIVE – ONE WORLD -” live event, which has English subtitles.
Physical Standard and SteelBook Editions of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT are now available at participating retailers. All copies include a new cover illustration by character designer huke, and first-print copies include a bonus sticker. In the EU and UK, physical copies will release on November 3.
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT first launched on August 20 for PC via Steam. STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is digital-only for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and all versions includes English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese language support with Japanese voice-overs.
Final Weapon previously reviewed STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT and gave it a 4/5 score, noting that the game “could be perfect for those looking to learn more about Rintaro and his journey,” in the Science Adventure universe.
