Amazon has announced that Star Wars: Galactic Racer is available day one on the Amazon Luna cloud-gaming service. The game is also available today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Its release marks the first time a game has released day and date on Luna alongside other major platforms. Furthermore, those who have an Amazon Prime subscription service will be able to play the single-player of Galactic Racer at no additional cost. Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon, outlines the new addition:
“We’ve always believed Luna players deserve to be in the action from day one, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer makes that a reality for the first time. Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download. And the best part: if they’re a Prime member, they already have it at no additional cost. It’s exactly the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna, and we think players are going to love it.”
Final Weapon reviewed Star Wars: Galactic Racer ahead of its release, and rated it a 4.5/5. We described it as “one of the strongest racing games to release in the past few years. While it stumbles a bit in the story due to its weak villain, it more than makes up for it with charming side characters, both new and old. From fantastic in-depth customization to the jaw-dropping visuals and music and incredibly strong gameplay, this is easily the new gold standard for Star Wars racers.”
