During Tokyo Game Show 2026, Capcom and TiMi Studio Group released a new trailer for free-to-play mobile game Monster Hunter Outlanders featuring new footage of the game’s all-new original Elder Dragon, Rugar Aidal. The new trailer also previews the new in-game protagonist, Adventurer Haze.

The trailer provides the first look at hunting gameplay featuring Ruger Aidal, the game’s flagship monster. Witness Ruger Aidal wielding the golden crystals covering its body like swords, as courageous adventurers confront it in battle. The trailer also features all new unseen gameplay, including the new dual blade-wielding adventurer Haze hunting Great Girros; the protagonist Adventurer using a hammer to face Azure Rathalos; Great sword wielder Freya taking on Rathalos with one of Aesoland’s native Buddies at her side; and scenes of exploration across the various regions of Aesoland using crafts such as “Gliding Challenge” and “Wind Platform”. Eagle-eyed fans can also spot new radiant species monsters, who also make an appearance in this all new trailer.
Pre-registration for Monster Hunter Outlanders is available now, and thus far, over 5 million players have pre-registered.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is being exhibited at the Capcom booth during Tokyo Game Show 2026, which is scheduled to run from Thursday, September 17 through Monday, September 21. Players who visit the booth and play the new “Abyss of Decay” gameplay content will receive one acrylic stand featuring a randomly selected adventurer while supplies last.
