Capcom has announced that Mega Man: Dual Override will launch in spring 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. New amiibo for Mega Man and Proto Man will be released alongside Mega Man: Dual Override.

Play as Proto Man alongside Mega Man in the newest title in the mainline series. Proto Man, the wandering warrior, fights with his versatile shield-based fighting style and powerful close-quarters attacks, offering a distinct gameplay experience from Mega Man’s ranged firepower! Players can equip Custom Chips to personalize their playstyle by mixing and matching abilities. Mega Man and Proto Man can also unleash an all-new Override form, blasting beyond limits to defeat the formidable Robot Masters.
Final Weapon was able to preview Dual Override at Gamescom 2026, writing that “this new return of the Blue Bomber has the potential to be the best entry yet”. The Mega Man: Dual Override trailer from Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live revealed Proto Man’s return as a playable character, the debut of Twinkle Girl, and the comeback of classic characters such as Astro Man. It will also be featured at the Capcom Spotlight: Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast taking place on September 16 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET.
