Konami’s PROJECT ZIRCON Deckbuilding Roguelike is Coming to Steam

Konami has announced that its “dark fantasy x deckbuilding roguelike” game PROJECT ZIRCON is coming soon to PC via Steam. The Steam page for PROJECT ZIRCON is also live.

Build a Nation. Shape its Fate.

In a world threatened by the return of the Calamity Dragon of the Abyss, you take on the role of a nation’s ruler and fight to ensure your nation’s survival.

Throughout the game, you must reach each year’s required goal. Fail to do so, and the world will be consumed by the Calamity Dragon of the Abyss.

The game is played over five in-game years.

One year consists of an Admin Phase and a Strategy Phase. As the seasons advance, your nation must meet the required target each year in order to survive.

Defeat the Calamity Dragon of the Abyss in Year 5 to complete the Normal Route.

Strategy Phase: Strengthen Your Nation

The Strategy Phase is your preparation stage, where you can expand your territory and acquire Character Cards and Facilities.

There are three types of points you can spend: Commerce Points, Industry Points, and Culture Points. Each serves a different purpose, so careful planning is essential.

Carefully combine the effects of Character Cards and Facilities to build a deck that adapts to your current situation and strategy.

Admin Phase: Place Cards and Earn Points

During the Admin Phase, you can deploy Character Cards acquired during the Strategy Phase.

Each Character Card has two key properties: Rank and Type.

By creating powerful combinations between cards and Facilities, you can earn even greater rewards.

You can also equip up to three zirpowers in your deck, allowing you to gain unique advantages and create powerful plays.

A Different One-Hour Nation Survival Experience

PROJECT ZIRCON features multiple endings.

The events you encounter and the choices you make will cause the story to branch dramatically in different ways.

Depending on the route you take, victory may require objectives other than simply raising your Military Points and defeating the Calamity Dragon of the Abyss.

As you continue playing, your Player Level will increase, unlocking new Facilities and additional starting decks.

Adapt to an ever-changing world, respond to unexpected developments, and lead your nation against the Calamity Dragon of the Abyss.
