The staff of the upcoming anime adaptation of Atamoto’s Tanuki to Kitsune (Raccoon Dog and Fox) manga revealed a new key visual and announced that the anime will premiere on October 4.
Tommy Hino is directing the anime at Akatsuki Media Studio, and Rika Kihara is handling the series scripts.
Atamoto started publishing the Tanuki to Kitsune manga on X (formerly Twitter), and Frontier Works releases the manga in print. The franchise has already inspired a wide variety of merchandise, as well as stamps. The manga’s 10 volumes and three picture book volumes have more than 1.3 million copies in circulation.
