Konami has announced that Suikoden STAR LEAP launches on August 7 for Android and iOS in Japan. Pre-registration for Suikoden STAR LEAP is available now in Japan, and news about the PC (Steam) release and global launch will be revealed at a later date.
Suikoden STAR LEAP features gacha elements and events, but the new title retains the Suikoden franchise’s signature combat system. Out of 108 stars, players can assemble a “dream team” of their favorite Suikoden heroes for battle.
Aki Shimizu’s Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars manga is being serialized in English on Kadokawa’s Comic Walker website. Shimizu previously worked on the Suikoden III manga, and she is also working on the ongoing The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei manga series.
Fans can also look forward to Suikoden: The Anime, which will premiere in October 2026. The first three episodes of Suikoden: The Anime will be screened across 10 theaters in Japan for two weeks starting August 21.
Yūzō Satō directs Suikoden: The Anime at Konami animation. NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan anime and music production department member Ryō Hino is the anime’s producer and production manager. Michihiro Tsuchiya oversees the series scripts. amazarashi performs the opening theme song “Kanashimi Sae Otonabite (Even in Sadness I’ll Look Like an Adult).”
Fumi Ishikawa is the game character designer, and Arata Suzuki is credited for the original drafts of the anime character designs. What’s more, Ryō Yamauchi is the anime character designer. Yoshikazu Iwanami is the sound director, and Kōji Nakamura is composing the music.
