The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the TYPE-MOON and ufotable’s Witch on the Holy Night anime film has confirmed that the film’s theatrical trailer is now playing in theaters in Japan. The trailer hypes up some of the cinematic cuts from Witch on the Holy Night ahead of the film’s premieres in Japanese theaters on November 20.
The main cast includes:
- Haruka Tomatsu as Aoko Aozaki
- Yūsuke Kobayashi as Soujyuro Sizuki
- Kana Hanazawa as Alice Kuonji
Studio ufotable is responsible for the animation of the film. ufotable has a long-standing relationship with TYPE-MOON, being responsible for the production of Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy, and 8 the Garden of Sinners films.
A Witch on the Holy Night novel series by creator Kinoko Nasu and illustrator Koyama Hirokazu will be released in three volumes by Seikaisha Fictions in the months leading up the film’s theatrical release.
The Witch on the Holy Night visual novel released on December 8, 2022 worldwide for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, followed by the Steam version on December 14, 2023. Witch on the Holy Night includes full voice acting, HD visuals, and remastered audio.
