Crunchyroll has announced that the upcoming Kagurabachi anime series will be streaming on the platform when the series premieres in April 2027. The Kagurabachi anime will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea and South Korea.
In addition, it was announced that Katsuyuki Konishi has joined the cast as Togo Shiba.
The series stars Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira and Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira. Tetsuya Takeuchi directs the Kagurabachi anime at studio Cypic, and Keigo Sasaki handles the character design. Shochiku and CyberAgent are on the production committee.
Before the premiere, the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour will kick off with an exclusive preview of the first 20 minutes of episode 1 at Anime Expo 2026. Preview screenings will also be held at Anime NYC 2026, Japan Expo Paris, and AnimagiC in “Part 1” of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour. Fans can also expect special panel sessions with the staff and Kimura.
Takeru Hokazono first released the Kagurabachi manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in September 2023. Shueisha published the manga’s 11th compiled volume in Japan on May 1. The manga has enjoyed massive success and has 4 million copies in circulation.
