Ranma 1/2 Season 3 will see most of the cast and staff members from the previous season reprising their roles. Kōnosuke Uda is again directing the anime at MAPPA. Returning chief animation directors Yoshiko Saitō and Kōsuke Kawamura will be joined by Riko Kaneda and Haruki Miura. Masahiro Kurio also returns as main animator with the addition of Atsuko Ishida and Yoshihiro Takeda.

The anime’s first season premiered nationwide in Japan in October 2024 while the second season premiered one year later in October 2025. Both the first and the second season are available to stream on Netflix.

Here’s an overview of the original Ranma 1/2 manga series from VIZ Media:

Years ago, Genma promised his old friend Soun Tendo that Ranma would marry one of Soun’s three daughters and carry on the family’s martial arts school. Except that the girl picked to be Ranma’s bride doesn’t seem to like him, Ranma keeps getting into fights…and did we mention that whole changing into a girl thing?
