The Nintendo Museum in Uji City, Kyoto, has announced that it will be opening its ‘Super Family Restaurant’ in fall of 2026. Tickets can be bought now for September 2026, via random lottery.
The restaurant was announced with this accompanying statement:
We are currently preparing a variety of menu items, including food and desserts. More details, including the opening date, will be announced at a later date.
The Nintendo Museum features displays and interactive exhibits from throughout Nintendo’s history. It spans from the Hanafuda cards that it got its start producing up to the video games that modern Nintendo is known for. It is currently running The Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary promotion, though it will end on September 7.
Tickets are sold via a randomly selected drawing and grant entry for a specific date and time, which are available at the official ticketing website. Nintendo encourages fans to apply in advance for the ticket drawing for dates of their choice. They can pay for the tickets once selected.
Here are the ticket costs for each age group:
- Adults 18 and up – 3,300 yen
- Youth (12 to 17) – 2,200 yen
- Child (6 to 11) – 1,100 yen
- Pre-schooler (0 to 5) – free entry
Nintendo Museum is located on 56 Kaguraden, Ogura-cho, Uji-shi, Kyoto 611-0042, Japan. It is a five-minute walk from the East exit of Ogura Station on the Kintetsu Railway Kyoto Line and an eight-minute walk from the North exit of JR Ogura Station on the JR Nara Line. The museum operates from 10:00 to 18:00 JST, with the exception of Tuesdays, national holidays, and New Year’s holiday season from December 30 to January 3.
