Nintendo announced the Nintendo Museum will open its doors on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Uji City, Kyoto. The Nintendo Museum lets visitors discover and experience the history of the entertainment brought by Nintendo in many exhibits.
The museum will feature side-by-side displays of products released by Nintendo over the decades. Interactive exhibits will let players enjoy “play experiences” born of Nintendo’s creativity, enhanced with modern technology. Those who reserve their visit and pay a separate fee may also experience the origins of Nintendo with Hanafuda playing cards.
A café will be available at the Nintendo Museum with special hamburgers that may be custom-ordered by combining your preferred ingredients. Moreover, a shop will offer official merchandise themed after famous Nintendo IPs, including merchandise that’s exclusive to the museum. The café and shop are open only to ticket holders inside the museum.
Tickets will be sold via a randomly selected drawing and grant entry for a specific date and time, which will be available at the official ticketing website. Nintendo encourages fans to apply in advance for the ticket drawing for dates of their choice and pay for the tickets once selected.
