In addition, SHIFT UP recently announced Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN, the long-awaited sequel to Stellar Blade. The story of the franchise will continue past the events of the original Stellar Blade with Evie, the protagonist of Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN.
Previously, SHIFT UP confirmed that it would reveal new information about the Stellar Blade sequel and new Project Spirits action RPG in 2026, which will both launch in 2027. The Stellar Blade sequel and new games from UNBOUND, the subsidiary studio led by Shinji Mikami, will be self-published by SHIFT UP.
According to SHIFT UP, its “new title cycle” is ramping up with a “reinforced intellectual property lineup and business capabilities.” There are multiple PC and console development pipelines that were added with its UNBOUND acquisition, all of which include first-party games. The company also notes that Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is setting “high expectations” toward its fourth anniversary.
