McLaren has once again announced a collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog, this time through an upcoming McLaren Racing Live Event. The event will take place at Miami, Florida, at the Regatta Harbor from April 29 to May 3.
Around the SEGA space, fans will be able to take part in photo opportunities, witness mascot appearances, purchase exclusive merch, and more. Those are unable to attend in person will also get to participate in the fun through a Sonic Rumble Party x McLaren Racing collaboration as well. In a press release, more details about the specific events were revealed:
- Sonic Speed Trap
- Step up to the Sonic Speed Trap and channel your inner Sonic by sprinting down the track to the finish line. Those who cross the finish line will receive a photo showcasing the “supersonic blur they created running at Sonic speed.”
- Sonic and Tails Mascot Photo Opportunities
- Fans of all ages can meet Sonic and Tails mascots. Both will be present throughout all five days of the event, interacting with fans, taking photos with people, and more.
- Sonic Rumble Party x McLaren Racing Mission Event
- Sonic Rumble Party players, from April 28 to May 13, will be able to collect the McLaren Racing Sonic skin as well as various other McLaren themed items including decals, logo plates, and more.
The most recent entry in the Sonic Racing series, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Season Pass is available now for $29.99.
