Bandai Namco has revealed new details about the performance for the upcoming Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions of Digimon Story Time Stranger. Both versions will release on July 10.
The Switch 2 in quality mode will support 4K, HDR, and up to 30 FPS while in docked mode. Handheld quality mode will be 1080p and run at up to 30 FPS with HDR. Performance mode will not support HDR, and will instead target 1080p and up to 60 FPS in both docked and handheld. The original Switch will target 1080p and up to 30 FPS docked, as well as 720p and up to 30 FPS in handheld mode. Pre-orders for both upcoming versions are now available.
The following editions will be available (physical copies are Game-Key Card titles):
- Standard Edition: Base Game, Uniform of a Certain School costumes, Adventure Item set, Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black)
- Digital Deluxe Edition: All Standard edition content plus Cyber Sleuth Set Costumes, Season Pass
- Digital Ultimate Edition: All Digital Deluxe edition content plus Costume Pack (3 costumes per character, 3 additional side missions), Early unlocks of special Agumon and Gabumon, with their Digivolution conditions to specific Digimon already unlocked, Public Safety Suit Costumes and Special Supplies Set, Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack
Lastly, Digimon Story Time Stranger is available now worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam with Japanese and English voice overs. Final Weapon reviewed Digimon Story Time Stranger and gave it a 4.5/5 score, noting that the game is “the boldest entry in the franchise to date, delivering a thrilling narrative, stunning environments, and over 450 Digimon to collect. Its deep combat system, expansive quality-of-life improvements, and superb English voice acting elevate it alongside the best RPGs of the year. Minor issues aside, this is the definitive Digimon experience fans have been waiting for.”
