Bandai Namco has announced that Digimon Story Time Stranger is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 10. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Digimon Story Time Stranger includes Quality (4K at 30 FPS) and Performance (1080p at 60 FPS) modes, which will be patched into the other versions at a later date. Pre-orders are also available now in the Nintendo eShop.
The following editions will be available (physical copies are Game-Key Card titles):
- Standard Edition: Base Game, Uniform of a Certain School costumes, Adventure Item set, Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black)
- Digital Deluxe Edition: All Standard edition content plus Cyber Sleuth Set Costumes, Season Pass
- Digital Ultimate Edition: All Digital Deluxe edition content plus Costume Pack (3 costumes per character, 3 additional side missions), Early unlocks of special Agumon and Gabumon, with their Digivolution conditions to specific Digimon already unlocked, Public Safety Suit Costumes and Special Supplies Set, Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack
Digimon Story Time Stranger Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: GAKU-RAN recently launched on January 22 for all other platforms. Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 2: GAKU-RAN includes new Digivolution routes for Mega Digimon including BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, BanchoMamemon and Omnimon: Merciful Mode. What’s more, the new DLC includes a special questline where players delve into an alternate dimension to meet the Banchos and rescue Hiroko Sagisaka from Parallelmon.
Bandai Namco previously released the Digimon Story Time Stranger “Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 1: Alternate Dimension” DLC on December 8, 2025. Additional Digimon & Episode Pack 1: Alternate Dimension will be available as part of the Digimon Story Time Stranger Season Pass. The new DLC includes new Digivolution routes for Mega Digimion, including BlitzGreymon, CresGarurumon, Omnimon Zwart Defeat, and Omnimon Alter-B. What’s more, there will be a special episode that “weaves together encounters across time and space.”
Digimon Story Time Stranger is available now worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam with Japanese and English voice overs. Final Weapon reviewed Digimon Story Time Stranger and gave it a 4.5/5 score, noting that the game is “the boldest entry in the franchise to date, delivering a thrilling narrative, stunning environments, and over 450 Digimon to collect. Its deep combat system, expansive quality-of-life improvements, and superb English voice acting elevate it alongside the best RPGs of the year.
