Square Enix has released a trailer celebrating the 15th anniversary of the NieR series. The trailer was initially released to fans in attendance at the NieR 15th Anniversary Exhibition: Unerasable Records event, which was held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo this past August.
What’s more, tickets are now on sale for NieR:Orchestra Concert 12026 [ YoRHa ], a symphonic concert tour heading to major U.S. cities. The NieR:Orchestra Concert 12026 [ YoRHa ] tour will begin on August 7 in Seattle, brought to fans by the team behind NieR:Orchestra Concert 12024 [ the end of data ]. Performances will be conducted by Eric Roth with a full orchestra and chorus, along with vocals by original NieR vocalists J’Nique Nicole and Emi Evans. The concert also features recorded recitations by Yui Ishikawa (No. 2), Reina Tanaka (No. 4), Mio Hanana (No. 21), and Chihira Mochida (No. 16), presenting episodes related to Pearl Harbor Descent Operation. Director Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe will be in attendance at the Seattle performance as well.
Previously, Square Enix released its NieR Series 15th Anniversary Box on February 28 in Japan for 32,780 yen, or roughly $210. The NieR Series 15th Anniversary Box includes a 210mm (approximately 8.3 inches) scale figure of NieR: Automata protagonist 2B, NieR Re[in]carnation protagonist Fio and the protagonist from NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…; the NieR Jazz Arrangement Album from the Dinner Show CD; and NieR Weapon Story Book.
Square Enix confirmed that NieR: Automata surpassed 10 million units sold, and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 sold over 2 million units to date. An anniversary video was also released and ended with the teaser “NieR: Automata to be continued…,” hinting that the story of 2B, 9S, and A2 may not be over yet.
