Capcom has updated its official website for the 20th anniversary of Okami with new artwork by character designer Mari Shimazaki and calligraphy by Masumi Narita. The website contains information for new events and merchandise in Japan, including the Okami 20th Anniversary Orchestra Concert set for April 29.
The website also contains celebratory llustrations and messages from Okami staff and collaborators, including The Game Awards showrunner Geoff Keighley, as spotted by Final Weapon staff writer and translator Ryuji. Fans can send their own celebratory messages on the website as well.
What’s more, Fangamer is celebrate the 20th anniversary of Okami with new merchandise. The Celestial Brush Gods Blanket ($45), Divine Instruments Sukajan ($89), Hanami in the Village desk mat ($28), Amaterasu and Issun Socks ($16), River of the Heavens t-shirt ($39), and Traveler’s Charm Keychain ($16) are now available to pre-order. Additional merchandise is also available while supplies last.
The sequel to Okami was first announced at The Game Awards 2024, with Hideki Kamiya returning to direct the game. According to Capcom, the Okami sequel is being co-developed by multiple studios that were involved with the original game, including M-TWO, Machine Head Works, and Kamiya’s new studio, CLOVERS. Amaterasu and friends will return for a heartwarming adventure in a unique Japanese-style setting.
