Resident Evil Requiem Gets New Photo Mode Update

Capcom has announced that a new update for Resident Evil Requiem is available now with a new Photo Mode. The Photo Mode is accessible from the pause menu in Resident Evil Requiem, and the update also applies some bug fixes. 

Patch notes for the new update can be read below:

  • Photo mode has been added. It can be accessed from the pause menu.
  • Fixed a bug that caused progress to be impossible under certain conditions.
  • Typographical errors in some languages have been corrected.
  • Character expressions in some cutscenes have been adjusted to better convey emotion.
  • A number of issues were fixed to improve gameplay.
  • Fixed visual bugs that occurred with some GPU drivers.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash in some circumstances.

Resident Evil Requiem is available now for PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Deluxe Edition is available with the Standard Edition ($69.99), a pack of five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, two weapon charms, and much more. A Premium Steelbook Edition ($89.99) was also revealed featuring the full game, Deluxe Edition contents, and a limited-edition lenticular card.

A special edition Resident Evil Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller ($99.99) with designs from the game and a gunmetal-black finish was also made available in the My Nintendo Store. Grace and Leon Resident Evil Requiem amiibo will launch in summer 2026 as well.

Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Resident Evil biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition were released alongside Resident Evil Requiem. A Resident Evil Generation Pack bundle, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, will include all three games for $89.99 in the Nintendo eShop.
