Guilty Gear Strive Reveals Jam Kuradoberi and Robo Ky

Jam will release alongside update 2.0 on April 9.

Arc System Works has officially unveiled Season 5 of Guilty Gear Strive, which will start on April 9 with the release of Jam Kuradoberi. The new Season will also feature major gameplay changes, and in summer 2026, the release of Robo Ky as a playable character. 

Jam will be available alongside version 2.00 of the game, which will include major changes to the gameplay. Some of these are the addition of a new mechanic that replaces Wild Assault, titled Counter Blitz, alongside new special moves for Leo, Nagoriyuki, Ky Kiske, and Sol Badguy. New character colors, accessories, outfits, short stories, and a seasonal reward system called “Blazing Pass” will also release. Jam first appeared in the Guilty Gear franchise in Guilty Gear X. The “Indomitable Iron Fist Chef” uses fiery attacks to devastate her enemies. You’ll be able to use her after purchasing Season Pass 5, which will also add a new stage titled “Cradled by the Four Beasts.” In summer 2026, Robo Ky will release. Further, two more playable characters will release in winter 2026 and spring 2027, respectively. More details about Robo Ky and the two unknown characters will be available at a later date. Lastly, Guilty Gear Strive is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows. Season 4 featured characters such as Dizzy, Venom, Unika, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ Lucy. Season 5 will officially start on April 9.
